Is is possible to work full-time and parent or homeschool? Yes. It won’t be easy and you will have to become an expert at time management, but it can be done if you have a job that allows you to work from home (remotely) and you have a child that can exercise some level of semi-independent play after you get them started in an activity. It might be helpful to set up the toy/activity in the same room that you’re working in to be able to supervise your kiddo if that seems appropriate to you.
There’s no one right way to do this, but when I was looking into schedules for homeschooling moms who also work full-time, I found examples incredibly helpful just to see what might be worth trying.
This schedule has 7 hours of work allocated per day. You could always finish round out the 8th hour in the evenings or on weekends, but realistically office workers don’t work even close to 8 hours a day…I think it’s closer to 4.5 hours? So I wouldn’t feel bad about scheduling 7 hours of work and counting that extra hour as cooler breaks.
